1. About AdsPage.ie and these terms

1.1 AdsPage.ie ("AdsPage", "we", "us") is an online classifieds marketplace where people and businesses in Ireland can post adverts to buy, sell, rent or offer goods and services. AdsPage.ie is operated by [Company name], a company registered in Ireland (CRO number [CRO number]), with its registered office at [Registered address]. You can contact us at [Contact email].

1.2 These Terms of Use apply to everyone who visits AdsPage.ie, creates an account, posts an advert, or contacts another user through the site. By using AdsPage.ie you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1.3 We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in our services. We will show the date of the latest version at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify registered users by email or on the site. If you keep using AdsPage.ie after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

1.4 Who can use AdsPage.ie. You must be at least 18 years old to register an account or post an advert. If you register on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that business and that it accepts these terms.

1.5 Private sellers and traders. When you register or post, you must tell us honestly whether you are a private individual or a trader (a business or a person selling as part of their trade or profession). Traders must provide accurate business details, including their legal name, address, contact details and, where applicable, company or VAT registration number. Buyers dealing with a trader have additional consumer rights under Irish law that do not apply to private sales.

2. Your account

2.1 To post adverts you need an account. You must give accurate, current information, including a working email address and phone number, and keep it up to date. Each phone number and email address may be linked to one account only.

2.2 You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away at [Contact email] if you think someone else has used your account.

2.3 You may not create accounts using false details, impersonate another person or business, open multiple accounts to get around limits or a suspension, or sell or transfer your account to someone else.

2.4 Your phone number is shown on your profile or adverts only if you choose to make it public. Buyers can always contact you through the site's messaging and email tools.

2.5 You can close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. Closing your account removes your active adverts. Paid options already used are not refunded, except where the law requires.

3. Posting adverts

3.1 Posting a standard advert on AdsPage.ie is free. Optional paid features (see section 5) can make your advert more visible.

3.2 When you post an advert, you confirm that:

  • you own the item or have the right to sell, rent or offer it;
  • the item or service is legal to sell in Ireland;
  • the title, description, price, photos and location are accurate and not misleading;
  • the photos are your own or you have permission to use them;
  • the item is available, and you will remove the advert once it is sold or no longer available.

3.3 Each advert must be for one item or service, in the correct category, with a genuine price in euro (or "price on request" where allowed). Do not post the same advert more than once, and do not include links or contact details intended to move buyers to another website to avoid our rules.

3.4 Prohibited items and content. You must not advertise or post:

  • weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or parts and replicas that can be converted into working weapons;
  • illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, prescription-only medicines, or tobacco and alcohol sold in breach of Irish law;
  • stolen goods, counterfeit or replica branded goods, or items that infringe copyright, trade marks or other rights;
  • personal data, hacked accounts, or anything used for fraud;
  • adult, sexual or escort services, or any content involving minors;
  • endangered species, or animals advertised in breach of Irish animal welfare law (for example, dogs or cats under 8 weeks old; dog adverts must show the dog's microchip number);
  • financial schemes, pyramid schemes, loans or investments offered without the required authorisation;
  • jobs that are unlawful, unpaid "work for free" schemes, or adverts that discriminate on grounds protected by Irish equality law;
  • hateful, threatening, defamatory or abusive content;
  • anything else that is illegal in Ireland or that we reasonably consider unsafe or harmful.

3.5 Moderation. We may review adverts before or after they go live. We may edit the category, reject, suspend or remove any advert, and suspend or close any account, that breaks these terms or the law. When we remove content or restrict an account, we will tell you why, unless the law prevents us or the content is spam, and you may ask us to review the decision by emailing [Contact email].

3.6 Adverts expire after the period shown when you post them. You can renew, edit or delete your adverts from your account.

4. Buying and selling

4.1 AdsPage.ie is a meeting place, not a party to your sale. We do not own, inspect, sell or deliver the items advertised, and we do not handle payments between buyers and sellers. Any agreement to buy, sell or rent is made directly between the buyer and the seller, and they are responsible for it.

4.2 We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or description of any item, the accuracy of any advert, or that a buyer or seller will complete a deal. Before you pay, check the item and the person you are dealing with.

4.3 Staying safe. To protect yourself:

  • meet in a safe public place, and see the item before you pay;
  • never pay by bank transfer, money transfer service, gift card or cryptocurrency to someone you have not met;
  • be wary of prices that seem too good to be true, overseas buyers offering to overpay, or requests to move the conversation off AdsPage.ie;
  • never share bank login details, card PINs or one-time security codes;
  • for vehicles, check the history and that the seller is the registered owner.

4.4 Report suspicious adverts or users using the report button on the advert, or email [Contact email]. If you have been the victim of a crime, contact An Garda Síochána.

4.5 Your consumer rights against a trader (for example, the right to goods that match their description and are fit for purpose) are not affected by these terms.

5. Paid features, payments and refunds

5.1 Basic adverts are free. We also offer optional paid features, such as Featured, Highlighted, Urgent and Video adverts, priority placement, extra adverts and business or dealer packages. The current price, what the feature does and how long it lasts are shown before you pay. All prices are in euro and include VAT where applicable.

5.2 Payments are processed by our third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card details.

5.3 Paid features start as soon as your payment is confirmed. Right to cancel: if you are a consumer, you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital service. By asking us to start a paid feature straight away, you agree that it begins immediately and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once the feature has been fully provided. If you cancel before it is fully provided, we may deduct an amount for the part already provided.

5.4 Paid features are not refunded if your advert is removed or your account is suspended because you broke these terms, if the item sells early, or if you delete the advert yourself. If a paid feature does not work because of a fault on our side, we will restore it or refund you.

5.5 Paying for a feature increases visibility only. It does not guarantee views, contacts or a sale.

5.6 We may change our prices at any time. Changes do not affect features you have already paid for.

6. Your content and ours

6.1 You keep ownership of the text and photos you post. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, copy, resize and promote your advert on AdsPage.ie, our social media pages (such as facebook.com/AdsPageMarketplace) and in our marketing, for as long as the advert is live and for a reasonable time after for archive and legal purposes.

6.2 The AdsPage.ie name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, scrape, harvest or reuse adverts, user details or any part of the site, or use automated tools to access it, without our written permission.

6.3 You must not use contact details found on AdsPage.ie to send spam or unsolicited marketing.

6.4 Reporting illegal content. Anyone can tell us about content they believe is illegal or breaks these terms, using the report button on an advert or by emailing [Contact email]. Please include the advert link, why you think it is illegal, and your name and email (unless you are reporting child sexual abuse material). We will review reports promptly, act on them, and tell you what we decided. This process is designed to meet the EU Digital Services Act.

6.5 If you believe an advert infringes your copyright or trade mark, email [Contact email] with details of your rights and the advert. We will remove infringing content.

7. Privacy and cookies

7.1 We process your personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and your rights, including access, correction and deletion. You can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

7.2 We use cookies to run the site, remember your settings and, with your consent, measure traffic and show relevant ads. Our Cookie Policy explains this, and you can change your choices at any time.

8. Our liability

8.1 We provide AdsPage.ie "as is". We work to keep it available and secure, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.

8.2 We are not responsible for the adverts, items, services or behaviour of users, or for any loss arising from a deal between users.

8.3 We are not liable for loss of profit, business or data, or for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to AdsPage.ie is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €100, whichever is higher.

8.4 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Irish law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8.5 If you break these terms or the law and this causes us a loss or a claim against us, you agree to cover that loss.

9. Suspension and closing accounts

9.1 We may suspend or close your account, and remove your adverts, if you break these terms, the law, or act in a way that harms other users or AdsPage.ie. Where possible we will warn you first and explain our reasons.

9.2 Sections 4, 6, 8 and 10 continue to apply after your account is closed.

10. Law, disputes and contact

10.1 These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. The Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, but if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live.

10.2 If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [Contact email] and we will try to resolve it within 30 days.

10.3 If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
